I looked around at banks, I checked on the street, I even asked Sal at the diner if he knew where a girl living in the big city could get a fast loan. Sal asked me if I knew I was a guy. I laughed. He cracks me up, that Sal. You'd think he'd forgotten that I'd saved him a couple of hundred grand in that insurance fraud investigation in '87. Sal's one of the all-time characters, that much is for damn sure. But anyway, back to Terry and the fast cash loan that was causing so much hectic drama up in this biz ness. She used some language that I didn't think her capable of and regretted hearing immediately.
